The second round of the annual Veterans Interclub Competition will be played at the Mackay Golf Club on Monday, 3rd June 2019.

Nominations are now open for Mackay members to play in  this round, hopefully consolidating the success the team achieved in the first round at Pioneer Valley.

Please nominate on the nomination form on the Veterans Notice Board in the Mackay Golf Clubhouse as soon as possible. The field is limited to 124 players, so please put your name on the sheet as soon as  you can, as a cut-off may have to be applied.

Nominations will close on Monday, 27th May 2019.

This round will also be a Single Stableford shotgun start commencing at 9.30 am on Monday 3rd June 2019. The cost is $25 per player which includes lunch, to be provided on conclusion of play.
This is the second round of the 2019 four-series challenge between veterans in the four clubs, rounds at Black Springs and finally Sarina yet to come after this one. Mackay took the lead with a team score of 289 after the Pioneer Valley round, but Pioneer Valley is just four points behind, and both Sarina and Black Springs are poised to attack, so we again need a strong team performance to consolidate the top spot.
Both men and women play Single Stableford and the scores for the leading eight players from each club are added to calculate the day’s scores. At the end of the 4-event circuit, the club with the highest total score will be the winners of the trophy for 2019.
Black Springs won the trophy in 2018, Mackay coming in a close second. Can we turn the tables on Black Springs this year?
