Queensland State Carnival Going Ahead as Planned
The Queensland Veteran Golf Union is holding its 2020 State Carnival for men and women veteran golfers at the City Golf Club in Toowoomba on 12th & 13th October 2020, co-hosted by the Downs & District Veterans Association.
The Carnival, which was formerly a 4BBB event, is now a Singles event, with A Grade Men playing Single Stroke and the remaining men’s grades and all women’s grades playing Single Stableford.
Although there was some concern about the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Carnival, it has been decided that under the present circumstances, the Carnival should go ahead as planned.
The QVGU has confirmed that Nomination Fees paid will be refunded if the Carnival is cancelled for any reason.
The City Golf Club in Toowoomba is the current home of the Queensland PGA Championships. The Club boasts a lavish club house, owns it’s own motel, and has a top driving range available for practice.
Toowoomba – the Garden City – is situated on the eastern edge of the Great Dividing Range, and the Carnival is being held just after Toowoomba’s spectacular Carnival of Flowers.
There are heaps of accommodation choices close by, covering all price ranges, with several suggestions listed in the Nomination Form brochure.
Nomination Forms with entry and other information about the event are now available from the Queensland Veteran Golf Union’s Tournaments web page – Click Here… The entry fee is $55 and nominations close on 25th September 2020.
