NEIL MORRIS and SHARYN HARRIS – PYRAMID SECURITY VETERANS CHAMPIONS 2023
Neil Morris and Sharyn Harris are the Pyramid Security Mackay Veterans Champions for 2023 after returning great scores for the two rounds of the Championships held on the 10th and 17th July.

In the Men’s Championship event, Neil Morris, playing off a handicap of 8, returned scores of 68 and 72 nett over the two days, to finish with an overall total of 140. Peter Warren, playing off 11, also returned a total score of 140, with rounds of 63 and 77, but had to settle for second place in a count back. Len Waren came third with a total of 143.
In the Ladies Championship event, Sharyn Harris, playing off a handicap of 15, scored 34 Stableford Points in the second round to combine with her first round 37, a total of 71, to head off Wendy Casey by five points for the Champion’s spot. Wendy had rounds of 29 and 37. An unlucky Deb Malone, also on 66 points, was relegated to third spot on a count back.
The Championships were 36 hole events, the men playing Single Stroke and the ladies playing Single Stableford. Championship winners and runners-up were determined by adding a player’s nett scores for Day 1 and Day 2.
