ABRIDGED CONDITIONS OF PLAY
- Each player must be a financial member of a registered Golf Club, have a current Golf Australia Handicap and be a financial member of a Veteran’s or Lady Veteran’s Golf Club affiliated directly or indirectly with the Australian Veteran Golfers Union Inc.
- Playing Handicaps for each round on each course will be derived from the player’s GA handicap on a day or days designated by the Match Committees, adjusted for Slope. A handicap pre-printed on the official score card issued to a player is deemed to be that player’s Daily Playing Handicap for that round.
- Players will be allocated into Grades for each of the several events based on the player's GA Handicap or Daily Playing Handicap applying on the day or days determined by the relevant Match Committees. A player’s grade will be fixed for each event but may not be the same grade as allocated for the daily rounds and for the other multi-round events.
- Handicap ranges for Grade allocation will depend on nominations, with a view to attempting to even out numbers in each grade.
- The Rules of Golf shall apply and any local rules that are in operation at the time of the round.
- A player can win only one major trophy at each 18 or 36 hole event. The 72 hole championship is a separate event and does not affect/is not affected by trophy allocations for the other events.
- Nominations close FRIDAY 25th JULY 2025. All fees must be paid with the Entry Form. No fees can be refunded after FRIDAY 25th JULY 2025.
NOTE: At both Proserpine & Mackay, players will be drawn in the morning session (tee-off approx 7:00 am to 8:30 am) for one round and in the afternoon session (tee-off approx 11:00 am to 12:30 pm) for the other round unless otherwise decided by the Tournament Committee.
Draws for each competition will be published for your convenience on this web site or on the host club's web site several days prior to the event.
MOTORISED BUGGIES: The organisers will arrange the hire of all motorised buggies where requested. Please note, however, that at some courses, the availability of buggies is limited, and early nomination with your buggy request is suggested. All available carts will be controlled by the local Veterans Club through your nomination, so please do not try to book carts directly with the Clubs.
TEE TIMES: Whilst the organisers will make every effort to allocate a special tee time requested for medical reasons, we cannot guarantee that your request can be met. At both Proserpine and Mackay, players will be drawn in the morning field for one round and in the afternoon field for the other round, unless otherwise decided by the Tournament Committee.
